Steffany has been a foster parent for five years and has cared for more than 50 children, ages 0–20. She knows firsthand how overwhelming and complex the child welfare system can be and she’s passionate about making it easier for families to navigate.

Steffany has been a foster parent for five years and has cared for more than 50 children, ages 0–20. She knows firsthand how overwhelming and complex the child welfare system can be and she’s passionate about making it easier for families to navigate.

Steffany credits community and mentorship with helping her continue fostering through even the most difficult circumstances. She believes no one should have to do this work alone and is deeply committed to helping foster, kinship, and birth families build the connections and support they need to keep going.

Olivia has been a foster parent for over two years and currently has placement of a sibling set of four, while also parenting her one-year-old biological daughter, Daisy.

She understands firsthand the joy, complexity, and intensity of caring for children with diverse needs—and the importance of having the right support along the way.

Olivia is deeply passionate about connecting families to the resources they need to thrive, not just survive. She believes strong community is essential and is committed to bringing families together so they can support, learn from, and uplift one another.

Tara was a foster parent for two years and brings both lived experience and professional insight to our board. She works as a school counselor, where she supports children and families every day, and she understands how closely education, mental health, and stability are connected.

Tara is married to her husband, Jacob, and together they 

Tara was a foster parent for two years and brings both lived experience and professional insight to our board. She works as a school counselor, where she supports children and families every day, and she understands how closely education, mental health, and stability are connected.

Tara is married to her husband, Jacob, and together they are raising their one-year-old son.

She is deeply passionate about supporting foster families and helping ensure they have the resources, encouragement, and advocacy they need to care for children well.

Nick and his wife, Steffany, are currently caring for 7 children in foster care and 2 permanent kids—and over the past 5 years, they’ve opened their home to more than 50 children. That’s 50+ stories held with care, patience, and a whole lot of love.

Whether he’s coming off a long nursing shift or jumping into bedtime routines, Nick shows 

Nick and his wife, Steffany, are currently caring for 7 children in foster care and 2 permanent kids—and over the past 5 years, they’ve opened their home to more than 50 children. That’s 50+ stories held with care, patience, and a whole lot of love.

Whether he’s coming off a long nursing shift or jumping into bedtime routines, Nick shows up—steady, compassionate, and all-in. We’re grateful for foster dads like Nick who remind us that healing happens in everyday moments, and that showing up matters.

Madeline has been a foster parent for two years with her partner, Sam. Together, they are currently caring for five children through foster care, ranging in age from 6 months to 18 years. Parenting across such a wide range of developmental stages gives Madeline a firsthand understanding of the complexity, intensity, and resilience require

Madeline has been a foster parent for two years with her partner, Sam. Together, they are currently caring for five children through foster care, ranging in age from 6 months to 18 years. Parenting across such a wide range of developmental stages gives Madeline a firsthand understanding of the complexity, intensity, and resilience required of foster families.

Professionally, Madeline is a veteran of nonprofit leadership and currently serves as the Rocky Mountain Chapter Director for Breakthrough T1D, where she leads mission-driven work, partnerships, fundraising strategy and mission focused events across the region.

Madeline brings a unique blend of donor focused nonprofit leadership and hands-on foster care experience. Her perspective helps CSFPA think bigger, plan smarter, and advocate more effectively for families and youth across Colorado.
